Monday - We've Arrived!

After a very short celebration for the Eagles fans, we hopped on our sweet ride, (Executive Coach-thanks Elvin and Mary!), and headed for New York City. Made good time, got to JFK and had all of our extra/free bags checked in by 4:30 a.m.  After a short delay, we took off and got to Port au Prince around 11:30. After a leisurely stroll around the Port au Prince airport, immigration, baggage claim, customs, etc., we got loaded in the bus and headed up the road to Saint-Marc.  Rush hour in Port au Prince helped us realize quickly "we're not in Kansas/Pennsylvania anymore!"

Now we've been oriented, had a wonderful meal, and most eyelids won't be open much longer.  Praise the Lord for safe travels, no charge for our five extra suitcases, and that the electricity now stays on all night long, which means the fans won't go off!
